Program Details
Choices offers students the opportunity to graduate within 5 months. This intensive hands-on program is offered in the Fall (September) and early Spring (February) of each year.
- Classes are held from 9:30 – 4:00, Monday to Friday, except for statuary holidays, Christmas holidays and Spring Break
- To personalize the learning experience, class size is limited to 16 students
- Field trips are arranged to introduce students to a variety of sources and perspective employers
- Students have the advantage of using the large variety of available materials to complete their assignments
- Upon successful completion of the program, students will receive a transcript and a diploma
The Application Process
- Submit the filled out application form with the $45 fee, including photo id
- Be interviewed in via telephone or by email
- Receive notification of acceptance along with the registration form
- Complete and forward the registration form
- Submit the tuition and manual fee 3 weeks prior to the program date
- Pay for supplies on the first day of class
Learning Objective/Outcome
The decorating diploma program addresses the knowledge and skills necessary to be successfully employed:
- as associates for retail or wholesale suppliers
- by designers and architects
- in the import/export of interior decorating products
- as an entrepreneur in the decorating industry as applied to residential interiors
This program includes comprehensive theory & project applications. Students will conclude this program by developing:
- a portfolio and
- a working practicum
that will give them the confidence to seek and obtain employment in this growing multi-faceted industry.
